Testimony of Miraculous Healing

This blog is for the purpose of releasing testimonies of the great things God is doing in Hamilton, Ohio and in the surrounding communities.  I pray you will be encouraged in hearing the good news of what God is doing in our own communities.

Revelation 19:10 says “For the testimony of Jesus is prophecy.”  When you have seen the work of God in your own life or someone close to you, giving the testimony is important not only to tell what Jesus has done but according to this scripture also to tell of what He wants to do again.

I have so much to be thankful for this year.  So it seems appropriate I am beginning this blog the week of Thanksgiving with a personal testimony as to the greatness of God.

My testimony concerns my father who was diagnosed with C-Diff in March, 2010.  C-Diff is a highly contagious and serious infection becoming more common in the U.S. and is considered more dangerous than MRSA.

My dad had been recuperating from a second knee replacement surgery and doing very well.  He went to his surgeon on a Tuesday and was released to go home that week on Friday.  However, when he returned to the nursing home, he became ill.  By Friday, he was so ill that the nurse at the Rehab Center called for an ambulance.  She quickly told me he was in partial kidney failure as she ran down the hallway.  My dad was ambulanced to Emergency within the hour.  By late evening, he was diagnosed with C-Diff and moved to ICU.  The next morning the infection specialist said he had never seen C-Diff manifest this quickly or strongly.  He said my dad’s condition looked to be Septic rather than C-Diff. His blood pressure was dangerously low.

He remained in ICU for two weeks. Friends and family were praying.  During the first few days of ICU, in a time of prayer, the Lord said he was slaying the giant called infection and that my dad would live and not die.   I spoke the message to Dad a couple of days later.  Throughout the two weeks his condition began to improve slightly.  He was moved to another nursing home after the two weeks and remained there for seven weeks.  He was released late May to go home.

At his first appointment after returning home, his doctor stated five different times during the appointment that he was a miracle and she gave praise to the Lord.  She described in detail his condition in ICU and repeated he was a miracle.  Then she said, "I don't know how to say this, but you are like someone that doesn't have diabetes."  She told him to lower his medication and she would recheck it at his next visit.  This was an answer to specific prayer that dad would be in better health and would not have diabetes.  My dad has had diabetes for 15 years.

A staff member at the nursing home admitted after dad was released that she didn’t believe dad would leave the nursing home because he had been so ill.  My dad actually drove home that day. This is the first time he had been home in 3 months and 10 days.  He had in-home therapy and nursing care weekly for the next six weeks.

My dad continues to become stronger each day and is walking with a cane.  He has been going with my mom for groceries over the last few months and recently was able to do some minor tasks requiring strength in his hands.  I give all praise to the Lord for healing and restoring my dad.

The following is some of what was seen and heard during prayer:

Saw the Lord standing next to my dad's bed in the hospital.  I sensed Jesus saying take peace; I am watching over him.  Then I saw the Lord with a sword and he swung down toward Dad's stomach.  I said, Lord, I praise you for taking your position and bringing death to this infection.

He said, "Rise daughter and stand with me."  I saw myself by the Lord, holding the sword and striking together as we touched the top of his stomach.  I said Lord what are the words you want said over Dad?  I heard these words: "You shall live and not die", says the Lord.  "I have things for you to do.......  The giant called infection is falling and you shall live...

I saw the Lord lay down the sword and reach over to hug my dad.  He said, "My son, remember who you are--my son."  I saw Jesus hold dad for quite awhile.  Then He stood and was not seen.

The doctor has discontinued one medication for diabetes and again lowered the other medication.  His feet have become warm again.  His feet had been so cold it required wearing two pairs of heavy socks, now he can wear light-weight socks and doesn't even notice when one slips off.  His diabetic condition continues to improve.
